The second ones look like older Abercrombie and Fitch jeans.

Wow, I hate that song.

Could they be Guess? A friend of mine had a few pairs of Guess jeans and pants with odd seams and articulated (or whatever) legs.

they are not from hollister, a&f, guess or j. crew. i think they may be 5ep or possible earl jeans or some high end brand. brad pitt has the same pair. they aren't prps, as far as i know, either.

I don't know why you think that they are high end jeans. If they are a high end American brand, I would have guessed Crate, because of the shape of the front pockets and the lack of rivets, but Crate jeans do not have the bar across the lower back pockets, which one of the pictures seem to show. I think that that is a signature of A&F jeans, though I cannot be sure.

The ones Brad Pitt are wearing look nothing like Gyllenhaal's, at least to my eyes. Brad Pitt's could be 5EPs, but I can't really tell. The leather patch is too bright from the light, otherwise I would be able to tell if they have the red arrows embroidered on the back.

Those aren't 5EPs. You can see the patch well enough to tell that it's not the 5EP patch, and the rise looks too low anyway.
