Best gadget tech nerd thing I've seen lately are the Oakley sunglasses with a built in mp3 player.

If only it played i-tunes songs, I'd be tempted.

I showed the 1.6 tb hard drive to my friend, who is a film editor, and he said that for a professional editing suite it would probably be a good idea.  Then I asked if he wanted one, he laughed....

    Yesssssssssssssss.......

Confession: I have a total of about .72 TB in my house as of right now. I am a space junkie; I admit it. I am trying to get my whole DVD collection (converted to DivX) on the network, and one of these will do nicely. Hm.. at the usual rate, that disc would hold about 1100 movies or so. However, with such expanse I could just copy the DVD in its entirety with no extra compression and still have room for at least 300 movies or so. Saves time, effort, and looks better too. Yes, I need one. Or two.

i like the angle they took the product photo - it makes it look huge like a shipping container, or a bank building.

Holy cow dude, I have a 30 GB HD that is almost all MP3's

And if you think THATS alot, you should see J's computer.
I remember I bought him an 80GB for his birthday or something, and like a week and a half later it was full already.

I could see him actually filling 1.6 TerraBytes in a few months.

Yet another thing that I may not be able to live without... I hope they are still selling them when we go to Tokyo in the spring. The lap pillow.
