Just curious if anyone else out there watches food related travel shows and actually tries to go to the featured Restaurants? Some of the best pizza I had in Naples came from a place Anthony Bourdain ate at called Pellone's, which by the way was way better than L'Antica Pizzeria • da Michele.

Show's off the top of my head, Bizarre Foods, No Reservations, Man Vs. Food, Diners Drive-in & Dives, Best Thing I Ever Ate.

Go!

Are you a time traveler from 2012?

(to answer your question, it seems like YouTube has picked up a lot of food travel show slack, with the accelerating demise of cable tv)

I don't go the YouTube route for suggestions and the such because anyone with a smartphone and internet can basically make a video and post it up. Just because they vouch for the place doesn't mean that it's worth my time or money to seek out. Yes some of the shows that I named are a little old, but I feel as though if you've made multiple seasons of a show you have some kind of street-cred and your suggestions are at least worth thinking about.

It's difficult to watch travel/ food programs when you can't travel. Plus it's also difficult to watch these in the postBourdain era.
