Thanks -- I've only got a couple of Barba shirts; for some reason, they don't seem to wear as well as others in my wardrobe... :-/

Indeed, those are lovely -- I especially like the little "notch" in the double-cuffs... I have never heard of Ginza Tailor; what can you tell us about them?

Did you specify a chest pocket? I much prefer dress shirts without them if I have a choice.

It's a mitered edge, as opposed to rounded or straight.

The fit of this one is, as you can see, exquisite.

Plenty. It's a very highly regarded bespoke tailoring firm in Tokyo. I wrote this for Devil's Island:

Yes, I definitely did. I have several H&K shirts without chest pockets and I find them very inconvenient. Nobody in the office wears a suit jacket at his desk and I always carry my fountain pen. When I put my jacket on, the pen goes into the pen pocket.

I usually don't have time to put in my cufflinks before I levave the house, so that pocket does become useful.

I was looking at some old shirts I had ordered with French cuffs that wound up coming with shirt pockets and they just look off.

I'd never order an OCBD or casual linen shirt without at least one pocket but on a really dressy shirt it ruins the effect.

I washes them myself, so I folds them myself.
