Florsheim Longwings need a new sole. Help

I have a pair of vintage Shell Florsheim Longwings. These are the gunboats. They really need a new sole, but I want to keep the gunboat look. Is this something a regular cobbler can do? I have never seen a cobbler put on a pair of doublestacked soles. Anyone had this done? Does the florsheim factory do this?

Someone on the forum in a previous thread mentioned that they had B. Nelson shoes in NYC do a heel replacement (and possibly a re-sole) on a pair of longwings and requested that they duplicate the nail pattern and the v-cleat - which they were able to do. You might give them a call and see what they can do for you. The owner used to post here, not sure if he still does or not.
