I've seen a few fashion-y pictures of dudes wearing floral printed shirts (mostly long-sleeved and well tailored) and have since become intrigued. I've done a search both here and online, but didn't come up with much. Anyone have any ideas before I hit the NYC thrift stores (budget-wise I'm looking for something less than $100, and for something more subtle than in-your-face-loud) for some long-sleeved shirt ideas?

I, too, am starting to take an interest in these (getting in touch with my feminine side, I suppose...). Liberty of London have some nice designs, but I have yet to acquire any of them and so am unable to comment on the styling. For fabrics, Acorn has a few floral designs (not all of which would be appropriate for a man's shirt, at least in my view) if you can avail of CMT.

Looking good there Spoo. Tommy Bahama destroyed my interest in floral prints, but that one by D&G is quite nice and you have managed to rock it pretty well. Congrads...

Interesting! That big floral print is a little too bold for me, but it definitely requires some serious chutzpah to wear! I was just browsing Modern Tailor and was thinking more along the lines of the Navy, Liberty (No.: k147) print as something that's got a little floral influence but is kind of subtle. Thoughts?

Cup - maybe look at the Etro paisley. It is almost a happy medium, and you can find some in a more subdued version, which is almost like a floral training wheels. The real difference between a floral print that is senior cruise worthy and SF worthy is the cut. Spoo's Dolce and Gabbana main line shirt is the blousiest I would recommend seeking. Conversely, if you go overly trim, it becomes too feminine. I was in Barbour the other day and saw a shirt that I really liked, only to realize that it was, in fact, women's. That it was a size 10 probably should have been my dead giveaway at first, but I was too distracted by the fabric.

Spoo - I love that look, as I wrote in the WAYWN thread. I agree with the poster that what makes the look work is the chest hair. I always rationalize that I maintain my heterosexual street cred when I wear floral prints because I am often scruffy and do not wax/shave/etc. my chest.

It was easier to type D&G acronym than Dolce & Gabbana , I could tell your shirt was better quality than sub label D&G :slayer:

 My wife lovingly refers to it as "ManFur[IMG]". This also came in extremely handy in my black leather jacket and black button down phase.

Just messing with you bro :)
