Flat Fronts

How many of you wear flat fronts with creases? I always thought you shouldn't, as they are flat fronts. However, whenever I purchase a pair, they come creased.

Both. Depends on what they are for. Though technically the front crease is a newer style (as in, 1920s-30s), the uncreased front looks more casual by far to me. So, if they are part of a suit or just for dressier occasions, creased; if they are odd and/or more casual or fashion-ish, they could be uncreased as well.

Tools at the dry cleaners once creased my flat front moleskin jeans. Last time I used them.

Same thing happened to me with a pair of BR flat front wool pants - I didn't send them any more pants to attempt to ruin. Luckily I managed to get the crease out.

One of my roommates from my freshman year of college used to send his jeans to the dry cleaners and would request creases in them. LOL.

It depends on the material. Cotton chinos without, "proper" wool trousers with crease.

The crease in flat-fronted trousers does not go all the way up to the waistband, but stops about 4" below. Not many dry cleaners know that.

Who would want to wear trousers without a crease?
Ok. I guess a few ironworkers would.
Even the rodeo guys put a sharp crease in their jeans.

No crease = slovenly.
