Flat front wool trousers, MTM?

I'm looking to order 2-3 wool trousers, something slimmer without pleats.

I like the sort of slim pants you find at Banana but want to avoid spending that much considering the quality. Are there any overseas or local (San Francisco) tailors that I could work with and stay in the $100/pair range?

I'm planning on putting in an order with Jantzen for shirts; I guess that gives you an idea of what type of quality I would expect.

Thanks again!

I was looking for the same thing as you and just ended up buying some Ralph Lauren flat-front pants on sale from Macy's for $50 and having them tailored to be slimmer for another $50 a pair. Now they fit perfectly. Just make sure you get 100% wool.

Thick as Thieves will do them (who are in LA) for $125-150 if I recall correctly, and I would imagine you'd be hard pressed to beat MTM quality for that price.

I bought an excellent pair from Thick as Thieves. I used to look at the RTW pants that crop up on the sales forum, but why bother when you can get trousers that actually fit, similar quality (maybe a little lower than Incotex, etc.) for less money from TaT?

I will be getting all of my trousers from them in the future.

Are there any others out there besides TaT?

I didn't even know about Thick as Thieves. Thanks for the tip. Seems like a wonderful option for trousers.

Will TAT make up garments in a customer's own cloth?

(I'm aware that I could just email and ask them, but I tend to get answers much quicker here
