The bags are made of a synthetic fabric called Vinylon F which is both extremely lightweight and durable, which means this bag is going to last you a long time. The 17" is the same basic style as the regular backpack but wider and with a reinforced back pocket for holding a laptop.
The 17" basically holds a 15" macbook pro with case perfectly. This has been used a handful of times.
