Fix or wear as is?

Bought a pair of Cheaneys that have a slight tear in the right heel. (See pics below) I am just curious if this needs to be fixed and if yes how soon? Thanks for the help.

Take to a shoemaker and see what they say esp if you want to wear the shoes..

From an aesthetics perspective immediately - whilst it may or may not be noticeable in daily use, anyone who catches a glimpse of that is going to think shabby shoes, kind of counterproductive to some of the aims of buying finer footwear.

Construction wise depending on your gait and how you put on and take your shoe off the damaged area is susceptible to worsening- get it stitched.
