Wow, this jacket got a lot more wrinkled in the last week than I thought it would. OK, so the first couple of shots are pre-Jantzen shirts showing up but give a good idea of the fit. I dig it through the chest, shoulders, waist, back...but the length is killing me. I'd need to chop down a good three inches to be ideal. How short do you think I can go on this without totally throwing the button stance off? Shortening more than an inch or so is going to also require reworking the patch pockets.

Here's two with a shirt, for perspective. Wrinkles suck, sorry.

The button stance is pretty high, and the patch pockets sit a little higher than I've seen them on some jackets, so I think you've got some room. Does anyone know if it's possible to unstitch them and move them up?

My alterations experience is a little limited. Is it pulilng at the center button?

Not excessively, I'd say. As for shortening, I'm a nervous nelly when it comes to removing pockets and altering jacket length, but this looks as good a candidate as any. Is the weave fairly loose?

Also, I know you'll have the sleeves altered, but what's up with the length? Do you have one tucked under?

[IMG] Gee, I didn't think anyone would notice. 7 months, no washes, whiskering is great! Funk hasn't been too bad... I keed, I keed

Anyway, the jacket pulls a hair at the button but it's not bad. Exacerbated by the wrinkles and by the vents still being basted closed. The weave isn't particularly loose but it is slubby and rough. The fabric is so great that I just couldn't pass it up and am willing to go through some difficulties to get it to fit.

Thanks for the pants compliment Bill. If you'd like I can get you a line to a good supplier [IMG]
