Hello,
I purchased my first DB suit from Spier and Mackay. I never wore a DB suit before and I'd like your expert opinion on the fit. The size is 38R. I also realize the camera was maybe a little too low when I took the pictures.

I did my best to maintain a natural stance on the front and side pics. I wonder if the pitch is off.

Thank you for your help, I apreciate the feedback.

I would definitely:
  1. let out the back of the jacket. There are visible wrinkles at the back.
  2. let out the waist of the trousers. The front pockets are flaring to the sides.
  3. shorten the sleeves. The cuffs of the shirt should be visible by 1-2cm. It also looks like the shirt's left sleeve is way too short.
Other than that this seems like a very slim fit suit. Is it comfortable?

Thank you for your help. I agree that the sleeves on the suit are obviously too long, I think the picture isn't great because the shirt sleeves seem fine.

Is the issue with the pockets always due to a waist that's too tight, or could it be something else? The trousers actually feel great around the waist.

I decided to try the slim fit cut over the contemporary from S&M because the contemporary trousers don't fit well on me. The slim fit feels comfortable, though. Maybe the jacket feels different because I left the stitching on? I left it on just in case I want to return it. I'm still unsure how I feel about the weight and lining, so I might return it.

Well, it's not the actual waist but rather your buttocks. I was talking about this area. If you show them to a tailor he/she would know what to do. The waist of the jacket at the back would still be the same even if you removed the stitching, you just need to let it out a bit.

Oh I see, this makes sense! Thank you again, I will ask a tailor if I decide to keep it (and if not, I'll probably end up buying another DB suit from S&M).
