Thank you all! Thinking about it last night, just to get the sleeves altered properly is going to cost alot more in the end that I probably think (the gusseted cuffs, not to mention the time it will take to find a leather specialist) ... Motion Carried...its going back, will exchange and try the next size down (S), since Sierra Trading post does this for free - however I have a feeling that I'm going to still have a problem with the sleeves and overall length...but no penalty in trying I guess...

On a side note - any brands suggested that make jackets for short (5'6"...or 5'5" on a bad day), somewhat wide shoulder (39) and somewhat short arm guy? I'm a fan of uniqlo stuff, but alas no store down here in Miami...a quick search on ebay yielded very few results for casual jackets in the 38s-40s range...For the first time really looking at jackets (beyond technical jackets and fleeces) finding on that actually fits in the sleeve and shoulders seems to be a kin to finding the golden grail.....

Bob, you might want to take some other posters' advice and try two sizes down, especially if you're going to lose those 12 pounds and you're worried about the sleeve length. Post back when you get the replacement.

It's too big. The color is wrong. Fail.

Fit sucks and so does your physique, get a gym membership instead of leather jackets.

How on earth can you tell his physique from a badly fitting jacket that is too big for him? You're a dick.

To everyone else, thank you for the continued constructive suggestions... The jacket is mid-route back to Sierra Trading Post...

I was 6' and ~135 lbs and ordered everything in U.S. large or x-large for years.

Some people spend a lot of time on the internet and forget what 'fashion' is like to the everyday Joe Blow on the street.

Must be a generational thing. When I was 17, 5'5" and 120lbs I was shopping in the boy's section. The 90s pretty much ruined everyones sense of fit.

Also, us short guys must pay more attention to fit then tall dudes. Especially tall skinny guys they can get away with looser fits. (you bastards)

It's called a double-chin.

Disagreed; tall and skinny looks worse when worn loose.

I was an extreme/outlier. I wore hippo-sized JNCO's to match my oversized shirts. Hence, the skater fashion at the time among skateboarders.
