I got this coat as gift on Christmas. And IMO it just seems large on me. What you guys think? Fixable? What could i tell the tailor?

the shoulders look okay, but it is only one pic and not even buttoned. if you feel that it is too large it probably is.

just looking at it, if you need to shorten the sleeves, and get the sides taken in, that would cost around $60-$80 at most tailors. just to give you an idea.

it may be too long, we would be able to tell better if it were buttoned.

A lot of what is making the first one look too big is the sleeve length. Shorten it an inch or two and it will look fine for a casual jacket. Second looks ok except for the sleeves again. The armholes look a bit droopy but there's not much you can do about that.

Who makes these? They look a little off to me. At the same time, if you shortened the sleeves just a little (on both) they're certainly serviceable as casual jackets.

Tan one is JCrew; Blue one is Banana Republic Since some are saying the Blue one is tight should I exchange the Blue one for a 38S right now it is a 36R.
