Hello,

Quick responses are appreciated. I want to bid on a pair of Helmut Lang jeans before they are snatched up for the Buy-It-Now price. What is the fit of HL jeans like? I normally take a 31/32 and sometimes take a 30/32. The reason that I normally have to go up to a 31 waist is because my thighs are larger (at least I think they are) so some jeans tend to fit tight. The jeans on auction are 30/34. The buyer hasn't responded to my emails. These are NWT jeans so I suspect the style/cut to be current. I appreciate all replies.

Helmut's are quite thin in the thighs. I own several pairs and love them, but I am quite skinny. I wear a 29 or 30 in Helmut and find their fit to be slim, but perfect for me. I wear a 28-29 in PDC and the same in Seven if this helps.

Pete, Yes that does help. These are unique jeans and I didn't really want to pass them up, but it sounds as if they may be too slim-cut for me. Maybe I should lose some muscle in my legs

as stated, lang is slim fitting
if you have meaty thighs, you may not fit, however, you may fit into his classic cut jeans, but they still may be a bit more tight then usual

Phew, good thing I didn't buy the jeans. I asked if he had any more sizes or styles and he offered me 10 pairs of HL jeans for $40. I was awaiting an email back when I checked the status of the auction. Ebay pulled all 188 auctions. Someone must have alerted them to a scam. it seemed a little too good to be true - HL jeans for $30, $180+ LaPerla bras for $30, Dolce shirts for $40, Diesel jeans (plain style) for $20, all brand new and all buy-it-now. The pictures were all taken in the same location so I suspect he actually had the items, and some of them were not the sorts of garments that are usually faked. Either he wasn't sending the items, or hijacked someone's account.

I have a question to add to this thread. How does the fit of HL compare to that of Dior Homme?

I doubt that any ready to wear designers have clothes that are slimmer cut than Hedi Slimane's stuff right now.

Some Balenciaga and DSquared stuff compares. A 52 in Balenciaga is pretty tight on me (usually a 40R, and I can fit into 38), and DSquared low rise jeans are nearly impossible to fit into.

Ahh, you're probably right. I've never messed with Dsquared much because of the price tag, so I really wouldn't know.

I'm going to be brave and try on a pair of Dior Homme jeans in Paris. I would do the same with Dsquared, but they're out of the way. If they fit nice enough, I might buy them. Just out of sheer happiness that they fit me.
