Hi all,
I think I know the answer already but I figured I would defer to the experts.
I’ve been buying size 42 sport coats. 44 seems too big. I’ve been using the same tailor for adjustments. He’s been in business for a long time and makes bespoke suits, jackets, shirts, etc.
I took a brand new Brooks Brothers sport coat to him. He shortened it since it ended up fitting pretty long. He forgot to adjust the sleeves. The sleeves are down to my palms.
I didn’t realize this until days later. I should have insisted on trying it on when I was there.
Another issue is the waist. If you look at these pics it doesn’t feel tight but you can see the creases going down to the top button. There aren’t creases coming the other way. So it’s like a half X. Is this normal?
Does the issue seem that it wasn’t let out enough or that I should be in a 44 and bring that in?
