I posted over in quick questions a few days ago, but got no responses (is there a fit check thread of which I'm unaware?).

    Quoting the original post:
Also, I decided to give the khaki chinos a shot with the monks today, and they came out like this:

    Hey diglett,

You're pushing the boundaries with such a minimal/non break, but IMO you're in the clear. As for the cuff - it looks like you're reaching for too much of a good thing. I wouldn't, but that's me. Why not wear them cuffed for a day, and see how you feel?

Nice shoes, where are they from?

Thanks for the response! I agree with you on all counts (cuffed not being great, and uncuffed being just barely long enough), although I might take you up on that suggestion to wear them cuffed once to try it out. As for the shoes, like jischwar, they're Carmina via Epaulet, available here: http://www.epauletshop.com/servlet/the-1311/Salinger-Double-Monk-Caramel/Detail

Sooo, I'll take that as a no on the cuffs.

    They're just way too short.
I'm surprised others haven't chimed in.

the bottom pic is at the very very very limit of being acceptable imho. The top pic is just bad. In reality though, they are just too short.

+1. The pants are too short, even uncuffed.

Thanks for the input, guys. I was on the fence about these for a while, but then I washed/dried the navy pair, and they shrank a decent bit; now they're laughably, undeniably short. I'm going to keep them around for wearing with boots (as they're now the perfect length for that), but won't ever again be pairing them with low shoes.

    Cheers!
