Fit Check, Brooks Brothers 1818 Milano

Looking for suit for wedding, taking a look at the Brooks Brothers 1818 Milano fit. Tried 40R and shoulders fit well, but definitely a lot of room in the mid-section. Planning to tailor to have a much more fitted look, but concerned of how the suit lays in the front, mainly the bulge between the buttons and the "v wave" starting at the bottom button. Is this normal, is there a reason it's doing that, and would a tailor be able to make this lay flatter?

Any thoughts much appreciated.

To be blunt, this fit is a mess and not worth tailoring. Besides the jacket, the trousers are hopeless. They are far too tight under the seat--look at the horizontal wrinkles. They also pull on your calves. The Regent fit is roomier and should drape better. I would suggest trying it and see how it looks.

it doesn't look to bad but i would suggest find the same suit in a regent fit and see how that looks. The bulge may be from being to tight around the torso. and polish your shoes up.
