Though not quite a true fishtail, this Cheap Monday Nyder Parka is probably what I will get for this winter:

This is the Filippa K Mountain Parka. This looks a bit warmer. Additional views here

If anyone knows of any other winter parkas with some length (at the knee or a bit higher) shoot me a PM, I'd appreciate it.

That parajumpers number looks like a fishtail raped an N-3B.

Anyone look at the Nike or Paul Smith fishtails?

That Sophnet parka was stocked by Roden Gray last year.

Have you handled the Ten C parka? I'm interested in hearing about the fabric they use. Their M-51 field jacket is on my short list.

Thanks! I always wanted to buy one from their website. What size did you get? After reading the sizing, I think sizing down would generally be a good idea.

    hey,

just arrived in the post today - i got the M65 X-Small custom fit option with the wolf-fur hood. unless you are a very big build then i would recommend this sizing. i am 6ft1 and have a 40inch chest. the XS has 44 inch chest, whilst the standard small has 50" - not what i would call small. bear in mind these coats were designed to be worn over flak jackets.

really happy with it - but defo check with them about measurements before ordering. their customer service is excellent and they answered any questions i had. my normal standard size for a new coat would be somewhere between a medium and a large depending on the jacket - with the original parka the sizing goes out the window.

so yeah, a fair whack at £277 but warm as fuck and i love the look.

Hey, thanks for getting back on it. Any chance you can post a picture? I am size 38 chest and 5''8.5, I have a feeling that even XS would be kinda big on me in chest and length. Hows the fit on you?

to be honest i suspect that even the custom XSmall (the one i have) will be a bit big for you. it's a 44inch chest, so that's quite a jump. here's a pic - i am 6ft with 40inch chest. [IMG]

I picked up a Ten C fishtail from Yoox when they had them. The fabric is ridiculous soft and it got some hurricane use last week and held up great... I would have kopped the Krane on the forums here if I didn't already have this Ten C.
