The Barclay and the Grand Central Hyatt are popping up on Priceline for $110-120. Both nice 4 * hotels. Check what bids are being accepted at www.biddingfortavel.com, Cheap eats: $3.50 banh mi at Saigon Banh Mi 120 Mott Street (possibly the world's best sandwich). Katz's Deli for pastrami and matzoh ball soup. The Met and MOMA are both phenomenal museums and a great value.

Grand Central Station and St. Patricks Cathedral are both worth a stop.
