Looks like a nice coat if it fits you and the condition isn't too bad. Generally it's a good idea to avoid stained items on eBay. Also beware of buying based on the "cut" seen in pictures--I'm pretty sure this one was pinned t the sides for the front photos.

Thankyou, I'll take that into consideration when I purchase my next item. I figured it's a small price to pay if it's not that great.

There's definitely a learning curve for eBay shopping, so it's best to start cheap. You'll soon learn to judge by measurements how well something will fit.

It looks a little short. See how your hand hangs down several inches beneath the bottom of the jacket? If you like it that way, fine, but that is not a traditionally good fit.....

It's around 2" too short and the cut / button stance looks really dated. Really nice material though.

I'd chalk this one up to experience.

I see what i mean by looking at the pic myself, this was a 44 reg, i obviously need a 44 long, nevermind, it was a small price to pay.

This.

Have been fooled more than a few times by shapeless, capelike jackets that looked fitted and slim-cut in the eBay pictures.

Yea, time to relist that jacket. It's much too short for you. If you're going to shop on eBay, you have to know your measurements.

The listing showed the length on this coat as 29". That's a 44S. It depends on the coat, but unless you're over 6'2" you probably don't need a 44L.

yes - around a 32 length will probably be about right.
