Hi,
I'm going to do an internship at a law firm soon and I'm wondering:
  1. If this suit fits "well" enough or is a complete disaster
  2. If alterations would make sense (I guess they don't if: shoulders are too wide, jacket too long etc)

I hope this is the right forum category.

I think it fits well enough. I would shorten the trousers by a few cm and use a four in hand tie knot instead. Shoes look nice!

Perfectly fine for the job, doesn’t need alteration.

What tier is the firm? You would be surprised how many top firms are moving to more casual dress codes.

Definitely fits well enough.

If you were trying to get a better fit or looking for alterations, there are suggestions we could make, but I wouldn’t think twice about wearing this suit for its intended purpose.

Thanks for your answers so far!

The trouser is currently getting shortened a bit. What other suggestions would you make?

You should advise my attorney on how to dress.
If this is your attire for an internship, you'll be in
the top 5 % sartorially when you make partner!

Agree, a fine looking suit and it fits well bar the length of the trousers - two or three cm. Are they fitting properly at your waist? That could cause the legs to be long. Suggest some photographs without the coat to check.

Keep your shoes clean (you'd be surprised how many don't) and you will be an asset to this firm.
