1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I will see it, but I have already decided that he is not as good as Arnold. Arnold dominated that role. This will be like someone trying to cover a Johnny Cash song.

Didn't they already remake Conan with that Scorpion King garbage? How many times are they going to pump out the same effing thing over and over again? If you pay money to go see this you are part of the problem.

The original Conan the Barbarian is one of my favorite movies of all time mainly because of the childhood memories I had watching it. Therefore, no substitute will adequately replace the original.

Crom laughs at this remake; He laughs from His high mountain.

The open steppe. A fleet horse. Falcons at your wrist, and the wind in your hair.

    Wrong!

I really wish they'd been able to get King Conan off the ground with Arnold back in the lead role.

I have a feeling that Conan the Barbarian: The Musical in Reggs' post will be better than this new Conan.

After reading the total recall remake thread I felt a bump to this is necessary.

If there's any Arnold movie that legit needs a remake, it's Last Action Hero.

Schwarzenegger was way too Teutonic to play Conan, who was clearly sort of proto-Celtic in his ethnic affinities. I gather they have a Hawaiian guy playing the role this time. I question whether this will be an improvement. Doubt seriously that he will have the "smoldering blue eyes" of Robert E. Howard's Conan. I'll see the movie anyway.

I recall with some amusement one young fellow saying to me, "You are the most intelligent man I've ever met. You know more about Robert E. Howard than anyone I've met." Certainly a dubious standard for gauging intelligence!

Yeah, the fiance is going to drag me to this one since she's all into that actor. He played Drogo on Game of Thrones.

Is the rule that this guy has to play every role wearing five pounds of eyeliner? I wonder what he looks like without it.
