Hi,

Long time stalker, first time poster here. I just got this suit from my tailor, please let me know what you think.

I do apologize for the quality of the pictures, I'm not a very good photographer and this is what I get when i put my camera on auto.

The photographs are not suitable to judge by.Look at what others post and get someone to take them for you. You should be standing showing the head to toe view back, front, profile with and without the coat.

I'd say the jacket sleeve are a bit long, could do with taking 1/4" off them. Possibly the shirt sleeves are a bit short too, hard to tell.

This is the only major problem.

The jacker looks pretty good.

There seems to be a lot of excess material at the seat of the pants.

I noticed this too. I think he just needs to pull them to where they're cut to be.

I find it amazing that there are "too short," and "too long" critiques from members here. Wish I was an expert because I don't have an educated opinion.... but I hope the real experts will post their comments.

Thanks to the OP - I am learning !

I'm no real expert, but it's pretty obvious that the jacket is on the shorter side. I didn't comment on that before, because I think it looks fine and I, personally, prefer my jackets a little shorter than the classic "covers-the-ass" look. However, I really don't understand where did the comment about the jacket being long come from.

In the 1st pic, the jacket looks a bit short from the front, but then the subsequent pics, it looks passable. In the last pic however, there is a lot of gathering in the seat of the pants that you could have taken in. Is it just me, or do the pants taper in a lot going down to the knee, and then fill back out? Could just be hangar crease?

Jacket could be shorter, sure, but you're obviously not striving for a fashionable look, so ignore such comments.

As many posters have mentioned, the major problem with this ensemble is that you're not showing enough cuff. You have three alternatives: 1. have your tailor make the jacket sleeves shorter; 2. get a shirt with longer sleeves; 3. Some combination of (1) and (2). I would go with (1), but I'm probably in the minority here in preferring it when the shirt cuffs break exactly at the wrist.
