Hey everyone... I thought I'd ask for advice here while I begin experimenting. I just got my first pair of Borelli pants hemmed, the one pictured here.

They fit me really well, and I wanted to ask what they would go well with. I'm also getting a pair of white pants, and I've read threads on that - muted colors like browns, grays, etc. I was hoping for similar feedback on this.

Thanks!

Cool pants, what did you pay for them if you don't mind my asking?

I'm not overly adventurous with my red trousers and usually stick to a navy sweater or blazer.

whatever you're wearing they're definitely the ones that are gonna grab attention, so muted colors is right, and shoes with dark brown shades. happy wearing!

I always pair my "reds" with a blue blazer. Anything else looks "off."

I can +1 the blue blazer. I'm not good recommendations in the abstract, but I can show you how I wear mine and you can decide if it's something you want to do or not.

Binge nice, we both went with brown shoes it works well like that I think. Red jeans in my opinion could be a disaster or work out real good. Here is how i wore mine in september. Dark brown colors / khaki / olive basically a lot of earth tone is the way to go.

These are both great looks, fellas. A year ago, I would never have even considered red trousers. I'm more moved towards the affirmative based on how I've seen them worn on SF.

At Filene's basement they were around $55 after the 70% off in the vault.

Huh - good suggestions, I have a couple of pairs of merlot shoes that I might try them with as well.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! Definitely one of the most daring pieces I'm going to be wearing, I'd rather not strike out with them to begin with.

Those trousers are nice. I was in Capri, Italy a couple of summers ago, and a good percentage of the men there were running red pants. I would say the majority paired them with a navy blazer and loafers of some sort. It's the first time in my life that I actually contemplated purchasing a pair of red trousers. I asked our waitress why so many people were wearing red trousers and she said it something to do with sailing, although I'd be willing to wager that very few of them knew the first thing about sailing. It was all about style...
