First Ebay Shoes: How long will these last?

Hi Everyone, After lurking on this forum for a while, I decide to spruce up my wardrobe with a pair of AEs. I've won a "like new" set of burtons from eBay, but I was hoping to get a few estimates on how long the sole on this shoe will last. They're not quite as new as I had hoped. On the sole, I've noticed 3 things: 1. The toe seems a bit worn, and it seems the previous owner had toe taps installed. 2. The heal on one of the shoes has a slight gap between the sole and the heal. Will this disappear once I wear them? 3. The sides of the sole are a bit worn, and the threads are starting to fray. The uppers on this pair looks great, but the sole didn't match my expectations for a "like new" pair of shoes. How long do you think I can go on these soles before I have to take them to a cobbler? Thanks

I think the shoes will amaze you at how long they will last prior to rework. However, it may pay you to take them to a cobbler for his professional opinion.

The wonderful thing about A&E is the quality of the refurbishing from the factory. Treated well, the shoes could last many, many years.
