1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Correctamundo!
Actually the pants are gray. And my shoes are three eyelet Spitzderbies
from Ludwig Reiter. Not in a class with Chay's samples.

Thanks M, J and F for making this happen - 'twas truly the event of the season!

The blue and green shoes look so much darker under normal light; the vividness of these pictures is remarkable.

I'm notorious for missing the big ones.

I gotta start getting on the forum here again, it's been at least 7-8 months since I used to check in daily and participating.

I think all the shoes were $1300 US. Not sure about some of the ankle boots. They may have been more, but I didn't enquire about their pricing.

Spoo, those are the only decent pics I have. I took a couple of all of the shoes, but with them pointed away from me.

@imatlas: The pics are a bit more saturated than IRL, but the colors were much more obvious under that lamp where I took the shots than in the dimmer light on the table.

Also: The RTW shoes are around $600 according to Chay.

The handgrade shoes are $1275 except for boots and one model that has some extra hand stitching. The latter are $1300.

It seems different people have been quoted very different prices. I wonder why?

    [I am sorry but I couldn't resist :D ]

There are two different ranges: Exclusives and Handgrades. The Handgrades are the more expensive ones.

Thanks for taking the pics, PSG, SB, and E!

Handgrade RTW are $1125, no? Or you meant Exclusive?

Exclusive. I didn't realize a Handgrade RTW is available.

As I understand it they now have two 'collections'. The RTW 'Exclusive Collection' and the Handgrades. They are discontinuing their 'Premier Collection' which was formerly their base grade RTW line. The price point for this collection was $400-$600.

'A Fine Pair of Shoes' has many of the new models from the RTW 'Exclusive Collection' up on their site as of last week. I'm no expert - but they look to be a good value to me - at around $600-$700 for most models. You can order any of these models in any of the available leathers. It's nice to be able to select the exact combination of model/leather you want while staying within that relatively competitive price range. They state about a 14 week lead time.

I personally have only one pair of AS shoes from which to offer an opinion - a 'Premier Collection' model on the 724 last. The shape is very much to my liking - quality on par with what I would have expected in that price range. Many of the models still available are offered on the 724 last.

    Hi Gerd,

That's what it says in the Reiter "Modellubersicht" (PDF) which I keep on my desktop.
    It is from 2009.
