Any idea why knives end up with so much dust in the pocket? Every couple of days I brush off dust with a brush. My phone case too. Is it the crevasses? Kinda scary how much dust we intake too.
Washing machine lint!

I just wipe the blade my my arm, and call it a day. Very rarely have to do more than taht except maybe blow on the inside? Very occasionally have to clean with a Q-Tip.

Most nice knives include a cloth. You can use that to clean the knife off and call it a day.

I attended the Atlanta Blade Show in June and fell deep and fast into the knife rabbit hole. In 3 short months, I picked up:

Demko AD20.5 in Aus10a
Spyderco PM2 in s45vn
TRM Atom in 20cv
CRK Umnumzaan in Magnacut
Kunwu Padre in Vanax
Hinderer Eklipse in s45vn

My desire to acquire has finally cooled and with the benefit of hindsight and rotating daily carry I can say that of all the knives I bought in such a short period, the CRK is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of fit, finish, feel, and quality, except for possibly the Kunwu. The CRK just feels nicer. It doesn't open as easily, but I understand why CRK has such a cult following. Can't recommend it enough.

Edit - I added an MXG deep carry clip to my Umn - highly recommend.

You can actually tune the CRK so that you can thumb flip it out. My first OG Sebenza 3 (one of the first "fixed" ones) that I have in a bugout pack is tuned for that, with no

My latest acquisition was an unexpected one. The Demko FB group AD20 knife in magnacut and with the "Demko Dynamics" on the blade. The idea was conceived in 2020, and I honestly was pretty sure that it would never happen. Blade is a group exclusive as well - drop point with a swedge and both hole and double sided thumb studs, which is generally how I open knives. The sharklocks on the knives assembled by the Demkos themselves are ridiculously tight lock up.

Nice pickup. My demko (w/sharkcub blade) is a beater but I plan to get an MGAD20 eventually. The handles seem unproportionally oversized, but I get that's part of the sharklock design.

The handles are oversized on the shark's foot (lol) blade, but for the clip point and drop point styles, the blade seats into the handle in a much more normal looking way. I honestly carry my blinged out Flytanium Arcade (titanium handles, mokume gane inlays) more than my actual demkos. It's nicer looking than the Demko knives, and the size is more reasonable for EDC then the AD20s (I have 3, an og titanium and 3V one, one of the first made, a G10 AD20 clippoint in M390. as well as the new one.

We were in Istanbul this week at the end of a cruise and on one of our bus excursions we drove past a knife shop called KROP. The knives in the window looked pretty nice so when I got home I looked the guy up. Dunno if he's known anywhere outside Turkiye but I thought it looked like a pretty good shop. Alas, since I was on a tour I couldn't just hop off the bus and take a look (much to my wife's relief).
