I've been thinking for years about buying a big chunky grandpa-style shawl-collared cardigan. I could spend maybe $1-200 dollars on it. Leaning towards navy blue.

Any great ideas? I'm in LA, and could go B&M or internets.

Just missed the JCREW sale. Check the final sale, there may be one spencer shawl cardigan left.

I have a cowichan from Band of Outsiders that i like a lot. Similar to this. It was f/w 2007, I think. Not gonna be widely available, but cowichans in general are.

RL is likely to have something similar in store. Oi Polloi has a nifty Oliver Spencer version. Sizes in general might be limited this late in the season.

PS Show is awesome.

I have a grey chunky S.C cardigan from H&M. I think it was like $40-$50, and I get a lot of use out of it. Good bet if your on a budget.

I think ZARA has some SC cardigans and double breasted options as well

RL had one last year that I got. I only got it to wear over another shirt that doesn't go with anything else.

Then I bought chinos that only go with the shirt and the cardigan.

And I've yet to wear the look anywhere.

Anyone familiar with the Bloomingdale's store brand? There's a cashmere blend on ebay I'm considering for a hundy.

I saw some in H&M yesterday. They looked quite nice, but the colours were limited

Think I've seen a couple left in J Crew retail stores. Also found this at Lands End. This BB one doesn't quite have a shawl collar but does looks made for grandpa!

You missed the great deal on Ralph's shawl cardigans this year although they were in lighter colors like cream and pearl gray. I paid around 15 cents on the retail dollar for mine and the cashmere is quite nice.
