Italy 1973 "Synthesis - System 45" comprised a series of modular office objects that Ettore Sottsass designed for Olivetti in a hyper-industrial idiom in the early '70s. This particular object is a futuristic, sculptural trash bin crowned by a removable ashtray (the ashtray module is in the permanent collection of the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris). All components are made of injection-molded dark olive melamine:

I can understand having so much money that you can waste it on pretty much anything. But a ******* trashcan? Give me a break. Whats next, a baller toilet thread? Unless there already is one. How about a baller kleenex box, baller mousepads, anything that is useless really would make good threads.
