Thought I'd post some progression photos of my Paul Smith dip dyed sneakers. They've lasted forever, had them a couple years and the soles are still perfect and I've been wearing them pretty much every day in the spring and summer. Probably more durable then common projects. They're not very interesting, but they're very well made. They're from the red ear collection and dip dyed so they're much higher quality then paul smiths usual $100 canvas sneakers

lol, dislike the PS's as well. I think about 8 or 9 years ago, I would've liked them. That whole 1930's white leather gymnasium bootie look had some okay looking shoes come of it, there was a pair of Nikes from Japan that I liked, it was like a Repetto meets sneaker in white leather type thing. Had some sort of handwriting on the back as well, looked like legit 1920's/1930's gym shoes.

People post photos of beat to shit denim and stuff like that in the denim threads, so I thought I'd post these to show that expensive sneakers do hold up very well and aren't just for a label. Also they retailed at 240 GBP 2 years ago when I bought them so they do qualify for this thread.

shape of those looks weird to me
They're some kind of suede backed in calfskin, have pretty much no shape until you wear them. I didn't expect much from them, they are very finely made, but have outlasted CP and all the others.

Girls right? Judging by the laces?

I may be wrong but I recall someone saying a while back that the margiela highs came with thinner laces as well as a less padded tongue one or two seasons after the initial release

Nope 41 and I'm basing the laces being girls on SQ's past comments.

In my experience 1.5 sizes to big. I'm an 11US and a 10 was too big on me.
