are these sneakers in any way coveted, or is there a reason they're on the bay?

I personally like the way they photo. (I'm sure these sneaks have been discussed ad nauseum but hoping for a quick friendly[IMG] reply..)

My concern is the patent leather. FWIW, any sneaker like this are purely lounge wear with sweats and things like the like, for me.

Also appear a tad like $400 skate shoes.

those are the mids, some bastardization that falls between oft-coveted highs and ubiquitously-designed lows

the materials look fine, the shape just seems weird to me... one of those situations where you ask if you're copping because you really like it or because it is on sale...

about 75% of my sale purchases are mistakes, personally - indeed.

thank for your input, yall. this is money that can be better spent elsewhere.

I am just curious, if you call this pure "lounge wear" and "400$ skate shoes", what are the regular W+H, CP, NDG etc i reckon you post? To me these are standard lux sneakers, they are fairly conservative - compared to well - almost the entire thread. You could obviously tone it down even more by getting the low-tops. I do agree that these are not worth the 400$ pricetag (if they cost that). No sneakers are worth that to me.

The mid tops just look deformed to me. The highs are the best looking and the lows are just classic, but everybody is wearing them. Just my 2c.

Everybody is wearing them? ... You could say that about Converse and stuff like that but MMM sneakers? You must live here on styleforum.net [IMG]

I reckon high-tops are the hardest to wear, shoe-tuck is definitely not for everyone (me included)

Oh yeah man, I don't mean generally in public, LMAO. Hell, 9 out of 10 people I know in FL have never even heard of Margiela hahaha. I just meant between 'sneaker enthusiasts' if you will. The GATs are sort of like Achilles lows, they're just sort of basic lowtop sneakers. If you're dropping $400, I'd get something a little out of the ordinary. If they were $200 though, they're good staples for your streetwear wardrobe.
