alright so lanvins are surging right now, basically because they seem fresh and new and there hasn't been much fresh and new in a while. I am wondering if this is going to hang around through summer of next year or it will burn out after this summer/fall. And yes I know that lanvins have released sneakers in previous seasons, I am just reacting to the fact that they are really big right now.

They're kind of done unless you have the classics but I would kop something clean and not too vibrant if your heart desires. The burgundy cap ones are nice imho.

Lanvins have actually been big since last year, plenty of people, especially celebs have been wearing them. Mostly hip-hop artists like Kanye, Jay-Z and Usher but there are other like Jude Law and Beckham who has worn them several times. Even Michelle Obama wore Lanvin several times last year. They are definitely nothing new this year but their old designs were much better than what they have been coming out with the past couple of seasons. They need to go back to these colorways/designs. I really can't get with some of the tucked lanvins. They have such a large, structured look it really looks silly with the splayed tongue.

they were probably partially on sale. no one pays retail for Lanvin's unless
    A) you cant find the shoe ANYWHERE else
    or
    B) you are a fucking retard

i'm not joking either. they are like watches. you never pay msrp.

my local place here gives me like 35% off plus whatever else i can haggle.

haha I read this at first glance as you calling me a fucking retard. They didn't look on sale, but shrug.

also, absolute dumb question: how do you pronounce lanvin?

Most likely B, but with no regrets [IMG] It's kind of rare for me to find a shoe I like in my size (44) during sales time, so when I saw one I had to have I had to go for it. Same thing for some MMM shoes this season.

Tmz shots and pronunciation questions do not bode well for lanvins long term

What does everyone think about MMM hightops in general?

    Too plain? Nothing special?

Not worth the money? can get Raf/Lanvins for a little more?

I like MMM highs a lot more than Raf/Lanvins, which I'm not a huge fan of Then again, I love white sneakers
