1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I think I am going to swap out my BBall lows for a mid...what do you guys think, Achilles mid or MMM Replica High Top? I personally think the MMM's are pretty sweet, but I've never owned a pair and I am unsure of any potential downfalls vs. the CPs.

Generally my experience is that MMM is way more comfortable than CPs, but CPs seem to stand up to wear and tear a bit better, but YMMV

Both are good choices. Expect a more narrow fit from CP.

I say wait until she buys something that she really likes and tell her how ugly it is afterwards.

I mean she is not wrong, both mono blacks and mono whites look like something an orthopedic doctor would sell. You gotta imagine viewing them from a perspective without the fashion connotation. I like them, but I could see people thinking that.

I'm thinking about trying a pair of CP achilles lows. Anyone can help me with the size? I have an EU 42 in MMM side zips.

I wear an 11 in CPs, 12 in Nikes, 11 in Sperrys, 11 in Alden, if you have any of those to compare to.

I'd go for a 43 in the CPs.

Where can I find these in regular calf leather? These are the silk version from Diemme's own website.

Realtalk: small children love paint-splattered sneakers. Never have people of any age been so fascinated by my shoes.

For anyone with the same problem in the future:
After doing some more research and comparing what sizes other people have in different brands/models (especially mmm side zips -> mmm gats (generally 1 size up compared to side zips) -> cp's (generally 1 size down compared to gats)) I went with a EU 42 and they fit perfect.

Anyone try to return shoes overseas with success? I ordered some filling pieces that are too small but ups and FedEx wants like $175 to ship them back to the Netherlands. How do you guys ship shoes back overseas?

I have had to do ^this once the other way round (from EU to US). Parcel service rates were ridiculous, more expensive than the item itself. In the end I sent it back through the regular Belgian mail - it was still registered, insured and got a tracking number to follow online.

I guess the equivalent to that for you would be giving it to US mail... surely they offer some sort of insured parcel service?

Yes USPS will probably be around $45-55 for a pair of sneakers, international priority to Holland

Thats the risk of buying overseas, obviously, usually people just post them up for sale at the price of what they would be sans shipping and get their money back faster. If I were you, I would throw them up for sale and take off 50-60 and get paid faster.
