I had a bunch of Nordstrom gift cards. I put them to good use and stocked up on undershirts.

I'd go with 2 pairs of the desert boots if you don't already have a pair of longwings.

PatrickBooth and bkstone are probably right but if you would have asked this question in SW&D you would have gotten an ok for the Desert boots I think.

I don't mind them on other people...they don't fit me very well but try them out. Note that you can definitely find them cheaper elsewhere but you have a gift card so your choice.

I also don't mind the look of the Florsheim Longwings...can't speak about the quality though.

I'd wait for Nordstrom to put the Allen Edmonds Strands on sale for $200 again (like last summer), and pick those up (of course that might not happen this year)--nicer than the Florsheim Longwings, IMO.

Grooming products and fragrances you would ordinarily not throw cash for : Acqua di Parma, Kiehls, etc.

You might try the Rack...last year the one I visited had stacks of Pantherella cotton socks for $6 a pair, Talbott pocket squares for $9, and several pair of Persols for $57.95...

Yep I got some Persols for $55 or so

Pantherella socks? The rack in SF is utter crap. They typically have Calvin Klein (or worse quality) socks that cost more than that and a bunch of hideous Kate Spade glasses that are sitting in a scuffed up pile.
