Hi,

Just picked up one of the Filson Lined Short Cruiser jackets and noticed it came in the Soy Wax cloth material that's since been discontinued. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this cloth? Specifically how durable it is, how it ages, is it worthwhile, etc?

I'm curious if I should see if Filson will exchange it for me for one in their tin cloth, but they don't make it with the red flannel lining anymore so I wanted some advice before pulling the trigger

If you bought it from Filson itself, they will typically do a refund and recharge for the new jacket.

Nothing from Filson is really that poorly made, if that is your question.

Not too concerned with the overall quality, I know Filson makes a sound product. More just curious how the fabric ages over time, if anyone had any examples etc. it seems to be kinda hard to come across. I can tell it definitely looks like a lighter tan color and feels very thin, the whole jacket plus the package it came in only weighed 2lbs combined. You can see in the pic below its lighter in color in real life
