Filson bags & color of choice?

Thanks to reading all the briefcase and bag threads around here, I'm just about to pull the
trigger on a Filson 256. It seems to be the best choice for my school and work since I mostly
carry a laptop, notebook, papers, maybe a school book or two. Checked out the NEW Passage
M Dispatch and M Field bag also but there's something really charming about the briefcase line.

Anyway, I can't decide on a color since they all seem perfect. I'm going to try to use the bag for
both casual and professional settings so I'm not sure which would be appropriate. Would really
appreciate advice and opinions of owners out there.

Sounds like you might want to look at the 257 with the amount of stuff you'll be carrying.

I plan to get a 256 and it will be brown.

Tan all the way.......trust me.

Tan. The other two colors would depend on my main use for the bag. Otter is great in the woods and brown on the street.

I had a zippered tote (wish I sadly lost) in tan. Great color. I have yet to see brown in person.

Yeah that's a good one too. I should have kept one for myself instead of selling them all.

I have a tan tote, and I've had and sold tan and green Filsons. I like both of those colors, but I think my next bag (probably a 257) will be brown.

that ApolisxFilson Black 256 is the sex, too bad it costs like twice the normal 256.

my only worry about getting a Tan one is wouldn't it look too safari-esque to go with a suit?
