My boss had me return a suitcase his wife got him for vacation that he wasn’t satisfied with. He wants something with external pockets. I suggested Filson and he was immediately turned off by the price. Meanwhile he drives an $80,000 Tesla :lurk:...priorities right?

Haha, ok Smokey. I think I will do just that, been yearning to get back into it. I’ll let you know how I like the ones I try from there.

It’s funny, I have no trouble finding expensive hobbies, but somehow my wallet doesn’t find it so comical.

Thanks for the suggestions

Anytime man. Happy to be of some help. I have a Friday ritual at my cigar lounge before I make the 86 mile trek back home for the weekend. 2 cigars and several snifters or Whiskey. I think once you get back into it, you’ll question why you left it in the first place. It’s a very relaxing pastime to be shared with other like minded friends. That’s one of my favorite things about it; the camaraderie.

For the longest time my wallet had me by the pills, every once in awhile while you gotta say screw it and make your move. You only live once. Plenty of regrets in life, don’t make not living in the moment one of them

Not surprised. I see lots of people who will spend a lot on a luxury car but will be satisfied with cheap clothing, luggage, food etc.

True. He’s content with his Costco suitcases. One of these days I’ll convince him to try a Filson luggage item. He’s admired my #261 & #257 on more than one occasion.

D’oh. Over was what I meant!

 I know you did. I just found it funny imaging how that would look. For some reason it reminded me of Joey from Friends, when he wore all of Chandler’s clothes after an argument. He then proceeded to do lunges

Speaking of luggage, I saw some pics of well used aluminum Rimowa with travel stickers in some mens mag like Esquire. It looked really good. I guess the fact that they could exhibit ‘patina’ is what made them appealing.

Hey Everyone! Been awhile since I've been able to check in... the last couple of months have been very busy. In May I completed my graduate program and moved to San Antonio to begin my new job and for the last 40 days or so I've been in Italy for training. I've been checking in on the forum every now and then, and trying to keep current with the conversation, but I haven't had much time to post or respond.

I hope everyone's doing well!

I also wanted to see if anyone might be interested in a jacket I'm currently trying to sell. It's a Barbour Bedale that I picked up a few months ago on eBay, but I ended up buying another similar jacket while in Europe and decided that I really don't need both.

Here is a link to the listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/292618012081?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649

I got a great deal on it, so if anyone is interested shoot me a PM. I'm open to offers.

My wife spotted an OG Talon large duffle at the end of the movie Jungle 2 Jungle tonight. I was so proud. ;)
Nice! That was one of my first posts on here, it was a Rucksack spot from City of Angels. I believe Interstellar has a couple of Duffel's in the beginning.
