Nice!! One day soon I hope to have a First Edition Otter Green Journeyman, the perfect in between Filson bag. I like how it can be used with a briefcase or as one, and with a large carry-on bag at it's side.

LOL Are you trying to look like James Bond @mgrennier , you already have a know-how of fine Manhattan's, all you need now is either one of these and you're all set lol. I got to detail and drive both, which was an honor as I am a HUGE 007 fan.

First one is an Aston Martin Vanquish (from "Die Another Day")

The second is an Aston Martin DBS (from "Casino Royale")

Look forward to hearing about your new Beacon jacket. I think it’s a great looking thing.

Not into Patagonia from the sounds of it? They are my other favorite brand alongside Filson and Redwing.

I heard a podcast once of Patagonia's owner and I gained a lot of respect for his philosophy. I have always been a North Face fan for my down jackets, but I really appreciate Patagonia's philosophy and their mission/vision. Would be curious to hear why @mgrennier feels the way he does.

Yes. Their environmentalism, B Corp status and focus on longevity are amazing. I’d work for them in a heartbeat. Their clothing is very well made and like Filson is no quibble. I met their CEO at SXSW a few years ago. Inspiring. Most days I’m wearing something by them and love the Pataloha Hawaiian shirts in the summer.

Not me; I am in a buying mood! Great props the e bay auction and the bags are of the same vintage as mine. After buying a fantastic Talon #256 from @GzStudio, I feel like @mgrennier - I want a little more room. So I am looking for a very lightly used Talon #257 in Tan.

@OtterMeanGreen , It is interesting how fans of one fine brand will tend to have similar interests in other areas. One reason that I got interested in old 4x4 trucks is that I realized that I was too late for the early 1970's Porsche 911s. They had surpassed my budget when I finally got around to looking for one. Singer 911's are such car pornography.

@speedy611 , I live in Patagonia stand up shorts and baggies all year long.

I also enjoy good bourbon over ice.

Toombs - I agree. Sounds like we’d have a lot to talk about in person. I too have thought about the vintage 911s but my 4 wheel needs are fulfilled by the Landy. I have 2 wheeled passions also with a dirt tracker build underway and my second bobber to follow. So no room for a 911!!
