Can I just say that I spent 20 minutes trying to reset my password just to let you guys know I still use my Smokey Bear watch and I’m not ashamed of its quartz movement. 😎 Long time away gents. I’ll be around.

Nice Lume @Stratkat . I noticed you have a form of a NATO strap on most of the watches you’ve shared, even your new Rolex acquisition. Do you prefer those over the bracelet and is it more for function over form in your day to day?

Crown & Buckle Chevron straps, love them. They aren’t natos, just a single pass. I dislike all of the extra mass of a nato just hanging off the side. Both the Tudor and the GMT are back on their bracelets, sometimes I prefer to fly under the radar.

I hear you on the NATO, not a fan of that aspect either. Actually I’m one step further, if it’s a fabric strap, then I require little to no metal hardware, which makes finding a quality strap even more challenging. Personally I love the Shell Cordovan straps from Ashland Leather in Chicago. Lightweight but incredibly dense, yet flexible right out of the box. They source directly from Horween. They even will take custom order requests for a small fee.

Guys jump on this deal of a lifetime before it’s too late. For the low low price of a penny under $10,000 you can sport a pair of 75 year old Tin Cloth pants.

And he offers Free Shipping too…that’s mighty generous of him.

Hey all. Going to be selling a LOT of my Filson gear. I don't yet have pictures of everything (but you guys know what they look like!). Some things I'm going to sell (call it a clearance sale as I need the space in my closets):
- Tan/orange Sportsman Heritage bag ($350)
- Medium Dry Duffle - barely used ($200)
- Navy Blue Mile Marker jacket ($100)
- Forest Green unlined short cruiser (was a limited edition that came out 2 years ago) ($250)
- Red/black Lightweight Alaskan Guide shirt (size M) - ($75)
- Tan/Navy Lightweight Alaskan Guide shirt (size M) - ($75)
- Original tan briefcase (without leather strap) - ($100)

Happy to send pictures to anyone (just have to take them!)

All the bags and clothing is in great shape. Non-smoker, no pets. People on here can vouch for me. I'm in St. Louis, MO.

I know this is a non-traditional way of selling stuff but let me know if interested.
Hope you're all doing well.

I’m also a Seiko guy. Picked this up in Japan a while back. I actually just got back from there last week.

This listing has red flags all over it. I can’t say it leaves me with any confidence as to its authenticity. What do you guys think?

“Filson Clothes” and “For Those Who Know” Huh?

IMG_1136.jpeg

Allegedly it’s part of a collaboration. From the hardware to the stitching, it’s weird.

It is legit. The seller is someone I know. He buys a lot of stuff from the outlet to sell on eBay and on different forums. I also did see this collaboration. I agree it’s a little odd but I think it’s good filson is still doing collaborations with small local brands. Their ebbets hats were some of my all time favorites and turn me on to ebbets when I never would have heard of them otherwise.

Also, this bag has some cool nods to filson history. The logo is reminiscent of the FIL-CLO era and their tagline used to be “for the man who knows”, so this really is trying to play on actual Filson history.

Interesting. The callbacks make sense. Even it being legitimate, it’s definitely not my thing for that price. The hardware looks very flimsy. I guess it would make a good showpiece, but the utilization factor looks like a really pricey gym bag, but for that price the Small Talon Duffel fits the task perfectly.

As for collaborators, their Ebbets Field is among my favorite. As for the Chris Stapleton stuff, I don’t think they really connected with some of it being heavily discounted and the rest flooding secondary markets almost immediately.

It might not be Filson but I still got my Ebbets Field x Grown and Sewn Collaboration hat. I sold my Filson Seattle Wool Baseball Hat in this picture.

Carl might be an outspoken critic of Filson these days but I don’t know anyone else of his caliber that offers such a bipartisan view of the brand with this level of professionalism, production quality and resources. I commend him for his efforts and I agree with him on more than a few talking points.

I got a Stapleton outfitter and that bag is an absolute monster. I didn’t get it for the name, but for the price I paid I am extremely happy. I’ll post some pics some time.

Excellent! I’m glad someone is using it, would be a shame for it all to go to the pages that time forgot (looking at you Filson x Burton).
