Since we're flexing......Here's a couple moments in time....but this wasn't really half of it at the height....had 2 of these almost filled. Now it is 1 rack that is about 1/2 filson and a shelf of whiskey/bourbon I started collecting.
When you had posted that first pic way back when, I remember having to pick my jaw up off the floor.
Flex: accomplished.

I have a few ;-)

I must say I am in love with your collection of all things Otter Green. In any case, if you have a Talon Otter Green #258 that you are willing to part with I am in the market for one. I've been searching for many months now and have gotten close, but still empty handed. Speaking of "empty handed", still living down having missed an opportunity to buy @GzStudio last OG Talon #258 he had.

Impressive!!!! Two highlights for me is your George T Stagg and William Larue Weller. When did you start your collection and what region do you find yourself gravitating to more? From what I can see you are very Kentucky heavy. Also if we were to pan around the room would we also find a humidor?

For me it’s either Kentucky or Islay, but Islay tends to be a winter pour by the fire. I suppose I started in 2013-2014 with no real goal in mind. Since then I grabbed things I couldn’t find in my home state while Ive traveled. I went to Islay three years ago and stocked up on a lot of interesting distillery-only releases, most of which are buried in the back. These days, I don’t hit many of these bottles hard, and just sip daily stuff like Buffalo Trace or single barrels from Wild Turkey.

I've mentioned several times before here that Filson trends seem to happen on eBay. There will be a particular bag that will NEVER show up and then all of a sudden one listing will appear which is then followed by multiples. Some bags come to mind more then others. For me I started to take notice years ago with this one. Believe it or not but this was once considered rare on eBay.

Who could forget the Large Twill Carryon...I know @linablair certainly can't. Hope you're doing well and that you are putting it to good use. For seemingly ever this one also was very light on eBay until that one opened the floodgates.

Then most recently there was this rare gem...not saying these are all over the place but I have seen several come up for sale. None anywhere near as beautiful as the one acquired by @singjai .

The point I am trying to reach here is that there was another Filson that was very elusive until it wasn't. I noted three for sale at one time. It's too bad I am no longer in the market for one, because one was exactly to spec that I was hunting for seemingly ever.. Otter Green & Talon Era.

Exhibit A: Incorrect misnomer. Tan Talon Era in immaculate condition

Exhibit B: Incorrect Misnomer (not surprised). Tan YKK Era in great condition.

Exhibit C: Also contains a misnomer in the title. This was my once dream Filson #248. Otter Green, Talon and a leather that resembles that of my 257. Sure it does have an "X" through the motto tag, but I could live that.

Little nostalgia for those that remember, but here are some listings I found that I wanted to share. Maybe one of you are interested.

Gorgeous first edition (technically second edition) Talon Small Duffel priced very reasonably. Note the Japan seller.

@Uniquest are you still searching for a Small Field Bag? I found one in Otter Green that appears to be that from the Chestnut YKK or Talon Era. Also from Japan.

I don't know too much about this one but for that price who cares. It's a Filson x Harris Tweed Shellie Tote.

I sure wouldn't mind seeing an OG Rolltop Backpack trend on eBay; have decided it's the backpack for me but they're like hens' teeth. If anyone has intel on one for sale I'd appreciate the heads-up!

There are certainly a lot of us who keep an eye on eBay and other sites for trends and good deals on bags.

I recently picked up another Filson x Vans rucksack that is in great shape. @OtterMeanGreen your photo reminded me to snap a quick photo of the pair ?

“Picked up another” meanwhile I’ve only ever seen 3 ever up for sale anywhere in the last 5 years. Hats off to you sir for sourcing these beauties!

I would like to buy a tan 246 if anyone has one that they are not using. Prefer excellent to like new condition if possible. Also, I have a tan 70257 made in 2015 and a 246 of similar vintage would be ideal.

Thank you.
