It’s not very Filson or aesthetic but you could always supplement the tag with a big zip tie. That’d reduce tear off significantly, as well as casual theft, given that most people in airports can’t carry a cutting device.

I don’t check my luggage, nor do I have a Filson tag (Saddleback), if I was that worried about it coming off, or stolen, I’d punch a hole and peen a brass rivet.

Ha! My wife's Vera Bradley crashed the shot. Pretty sure it is 100% cotton, which is a plus. However, prolly made in China

Man, that natural leather with the denim is just superb. Every time I see it I like it more.

    Quite the load out.

IMG_7037.JPG I do love my denim and natural leather zip tote, but/and the back-of-the-leather is growing on me. Here's a photo from about a month ago of that leather as well as my hand after grabbing a very hot, also northwest made product. Totally my fault...no blame on the manufacturer.

Easter weekend saw us on a family Llama trek. Llamas are not ( in case you were unsure) native to the UK...

A Llama trek is basically a gentle walk in the woods with a creature that is essentially a furry cousin of the camel. No humps but plenty of camel recalcitrance.

Anyway, this was a good opportunity to give my feathercloth shirt a good outing. I’ve had it a couple of months, worn it a few times around the house and had it through a wash cycle.

It’s a very good shirt. Extremely comfortable with lots of room in the shoulders. Good sleeves with length for my long arms. Fabric is soft and looks good without an iron. It’s airy without being cold and layers easily without bulk. Pockets are large and usefully flapped. I really like the olive-y grayish colour. It shrank a little on first was taking what was a largish medium to a perfect medium.

The ultimate recommendation? My teenage daughter said it looked good!

Shown here with my talon era small field bag and packer hat out of shot. Boots are old but comfy Chippewas.
