I checked out a "farmer brown" coat, aka camel, from John sometime last July.  The construction was quite nice--heavy wool and a quality, though not exceptional, liner.  Most of his products are probably best suited for everyday wear rather than special occasions.

Norcal: Thanks for the words. Was wondering (for a while) what you meant when you said "Farmer Brown" then realized you were answering Ernest.

Provoke?  Moi?  What's the French translation of 'good natured, friendly kidding?'

ernest,

This is where I'm defending you and your right to free expression...You'd prefer I not?

Nice to see you take my defense.

You said they complained... So I ask if someone has really complaned to you?

No- it's just that I locked two threads involving you yesterday to stop burgeoning flame wars. I don't have time to monitor things that closely.

I think gentlemanly arguments are great, and can be found in the middle of more than my share of them.

Perhaps I'm being overprotective...

I don't think so. I admire you stepping in here. It was turning into somewhat of a free for all mudslinging session at the Frenchman, in the same way it was with kalra.
