I'm a college freshman, and I can already say these past few weeks have been some of the best in my life. Â However, everything isn't great. Â I'm a good student, and I can say that because I work hard. Â I'm also a good athlete. Â I have an opportunity to play Division 1 basketball. Â My father is really pushing the issue. Â I have big dreams, and I want to fulfill them so bad. Â But basketball just isn't in the picture. Â I know I could cut it, because I work hard on the court too. Â My father doesn't understand my line of thinking. Â He knows the importance of school, but he wants to see me on television playing ball. Â I really want to tell him that basketball is over for me and it's time to move on to bigger things, but how do you tell your hero you don't see things his way? Â I'm asking this because I've read some posts, and I've come to respect everyone's opinion on this forum. Â Well, for the most part. Â Thanks in advance.
