That's exactly what I thought, I like the car design as it is. But it is just not a Ferrari. It looks more like a recent Alfa Romeo, or even a prettified BWM Z3 Coupe...

And in some ways I think it dilutes Ferrari's brand, though not as much as the Cayenne and Panamera has done to Porsche, or the new Toyota-based microcar that Aston Martin now offers. Let's just hope that they'll stop it with the FF and won't come up with any more insane ideas like a Ferrari branded SUV.

    Again:

It is a 660 horsepower all-wheel drive hatchback with room enough for 4 adults to sit comfortably

    660 horsepower V-12.

    All Wheel Drive.

    4 seater.

Yes, it does resemble a Z3 coupe a bit...but I always found that car to be interesting. Of course, I also like the TVRs from the '70s...especially the Griffith.

If you want a Ferrari that you can drive every day, in all weather, that can carry some luggage, other humans and even, kids, this is certainly a winner. I am sure it will be no slouch in the performance department.

The man who buys a Ferrari for practical use has no right buying one at all.

Ferrari are about elegance, power, soul, speed and exhaust notes that can rip off a ladies clothes. If you want a Grand Tourer type car then buy an Aston Martin or MB SLS. The only thing that is really Ferrari on this car is the badge.

This is the equivalent of buying a fighter jet to get to business meetings, or fitting a Lear Jet with guns.

I dig it. It reminds me of the Volvo 1800es

If I had the scrilla for the Ferrari, I'd be lining up.

What about the enthusiast who owns several already and uses this one for daily driving?

That is a real condemnation of anyone who purchases am exotic for the purpose of transportation. Further, the SLS and Astons are not exactly going to seat 4 adults comfortably.

Also, I strenuously disagree on your assertion that this is not a Ferrari. It has a 660 HP V-12. Let that sink in...660 Horsepower. It is not like Ferrari lifted a V-6 from the Alfa bin and made a family car. This is going to be a beast of a performer.

It is a lovely and courageous design. Way to go, Ferrari.

    Agreed.

I don't see companies like Lamborghini doing anything like this.

Ferrari tech is probably state-of-the-art, but their styling is just terrible these days. What can you do though? Their target market has very little taste.

I instantly thought Z3MC also. Not really a fan here.
