Like the R8 styled headlights. Overall a very nice looking car, although I can see how people say it looks effeminate. I still want one.

side profile is nice, clean, but the front and rear ends look confused, an odd remix Ferrari element's we've seen before and then the requisite stripe of LED's they've already played with but didn't really make known in the F430. Bit of a disappointment, I still want a a black 430 spyder over this new car.

I don't like the trend of the bubble-like cockpit getting pushed closer to the front of the car (with the elongated rear deck), the overall shape is too similar to other supercars. In a color other than red it wouldn't stand out as a Ferrari.

The 348/355 is better balanced and looks uniquely Ferrari.

I don't see what you are referring to. Looks to me like the seats are in the middle of the car, and I'm sure weight distribution will be close to 50/50. And the bubble-like cockpit provides excellent visibility.

Any machine is still vulgar compared to a good horse.

That front-back proportion is caused by the packaging of a mid-engined car. Look at all of them from the top, and they have that short front, long back look. Some (Lamborghinis) are more exaggerated, but that's inherent to that kind of packaging. The thing that stands out to my eye is the aerodynamic detailing that's gone into the car. For example, the dual tunnels under the car for its ground effects are something F. has done since the 360.

I would guess that its weight distribution is closer to 40/60, with more weight in the back. BTW, do you know the people who are driving a 612 Scaglietti, 16M Scuderia, the McLaren F1, and a Bertone Mantide across the country from New York to Monterey? I'm guessing they're going to be at Pebble Beach in a couple of weeks. http://bigheaddennis.blogspot.com/ --Andre

I know some of the people associated with the Mantide, but don't know specifically about this road trip. I know it will be in Monterey and will have the same kind of unveiling the P4/5 had.

Blegh. Overall shape is nice, but I hate the headlights and the interior. Bad headlights kill any design for me. Still, the California, Fioriano, and Scaglietti are all much worse.

This is how a Ferrari should look:

I'm a bit put off by the extensions of the lines throughout the body contours -- not that Ferraris are known for restraint but I think the car's appearance would be significanctly improved by dialing back the pronouncement of the vertical body lines.

The 458 is very sexy and sleek. I like it's fresh styling.

It looks like a track car, not a street car.

It's a Ferrari. It SHOULD look like a track car.

The more I look at it the more I like it. I still hate those lights though. Good thing I'm not in a position to buy one! [IMG]

    [IMG] aww, made myself sad...

But with the super low clearance there's so many places it can't go. It pity the owner who lives in a neighborhood with speed bumps or speed humps (the big ones). Looks to me like a garage queen.
