Equivalent to Hugo Boss. Not worth the purchase unless on a huge discount, but I still wouldn't consider it. Frankly, Ferragamo is a mockery of its former self.

That's not what I've found. Their better tailored clothing is made by Zegna, and at least equivalent to Zegna mainline quality. My Ferragamo suit (a grey three-button sharkskin ca. F/W 2001-2) is fully canvassed and much nicer than anything Hugo Boss has ever put out, including the Balderassini line.

If their new stuff isn't as good, that's too bad.

SG, when you say Zegna, to what level? To high end level or to Z or "Soft" level?

I purchased a Ferragamo suit on eBay about two years ago, but it was a little too big for me so I re-sold it. I thought the quality was reasonably good - similar to Canali or Zegna main line, definitely better than Hugo Boss. I'm pretty sure it was fully canvassed.

As I mentioned, mainline. I guess the official term for mainline Zegna now is Sartorial or something similarly pompous.
