Ferragamo suede loafers: what color trousers do I wear with these?

What type of trousers look best with blue suede loafers? I have several pairs of bootcut jeans which don't look right. To my eyes, straight cut raw denim looks the best. Also they seem to look ok with stone colored khakis, but not quite there...

Optimally, what would look best with them? Medium gray dress trousers?

Virtually anything. When you factor in the shirt and jacket though it gets more complicated.

Fist off . . . it's casual . . . so only casual pants/jeans . . . blue jeans with some white+navy polo combo . . . khakhi/light grey casual pants with solid navy polo or checked blue/white/off-white casual shirt . . . i'm not a fan of white pants . . . but that's an option if you're into it . . .

You definitely wanna go with straight leg on jeans and preferrably no pleat on khakhis
