Ferragamo Andrea question

I am really interested in the style/design of the standard non-patent Andrea because of its simplicity. I visited the Ferragamo store recently to check out their Tremezza line. To my disliking, the Tremezza line has the stiffer soles and my feet don't really like the break-in period of those stiffer soles.

Questions are, how is the quality of the Andrea?
I think it is one of their "Main line" styles right?
How does it compare to similarly priced Gucci and Santoni shoes? ($5xx-ish)

I think it's a weird looking shoe. What about the Bruce model - a nice cap toe - $300ish?? Can't comment on Gucci or Santoni, although I know SFers like Santoni some what. Cheers

I actually have a santoni cap-toe and a gucci cap-toe. So i'm not trying to add another... The shoe is really sharp, and the two eye-let look is simple and elegant imo... this'll be my first ferragamo purchase, hopefully it'll be good.
Also, why does this forum as a whole like Good-year welts better than Blake and Bologna constructed shoes? I personally prefer the softer shoes because its instant satisfaction...

JV - I just think goodyear looks better. Dunno - something about the lines. Check out Sutor Mantelassi (sp?) for some wild Norvegese welt. Very bold.
