Hey Gang,

With a new job just recently secured I'm augmenting a few areas of my wardrobe and looking for a new loafer option to be worn primarily with jeans and occasionally with chinos.

I'm looking specifically at higher vamp, modern penny loafers in brown and have narrowed it down to a few and was looking for feedback on value, quality, etc.

I'm trying to decide between the following:

Cole Haan Air Camden - On sale at $139 - http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/product.jsp?catId=100&productId=528672&productGroup=528671

Mercanti Fiorentini - At DSW for $139.95 - http://www.dsw.com/shoe/mercanti+fi...and=300235&isBrand=y&categoryName=Men's Shoes

Johnston Murphy McPherson - On sale at $109 - http://www.johnstonmurphy.com/product.aspx?c=624&sc=1215&fv=1&pid=83486

Any thoughts? Other suggestions? $150 is probably the top end of my budget.

Thanks!

I like the Cole Hann. I have had a great deal of luck with the brand and the Nike air soles actually do work. They are especially nice on days when you are on your feet for a long time.

I think the one you picked looks like a much more costly shoe. Nice choice.

Thanks for the feedback Apollotrader...that is actually where I am leaning given I have had very good luck with other Cole Haan shoes in the past (A jayhawker wingtip is one of my main shoes) and it seems like a good deal.
